Thanks in advance for responding, and as always: THE BIGGEST THANK YOU for being here!💖
Now, onto this week’s cards!
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.
The Big Idea: The spark feels muffled, the resources feel scarce and the solution is totally counterintuitive.
Sometimes we see reversed cards, and our immediate reaction is one of dread. But even though reversals mean that the card’s natural expression is blocked in some way—that’s not always a bad thing.
In this week’s spread, we don’t really get **that **until the last card, which makes me think about the way we can jump to conclusions before getting all the facts straight. It can lead to total “haste makes waste,” (or as my dad likes to say: “hurry spoils the curry.”)
Speaking of hurrying the curry, the Ace of Wands reversed is the undercooked idea incarnate. We tried to rush the process and we’re left with a bit of a lumpy mess. Or, the oven goes out and the spark gets snuffed and we’re not sure how to get it back.
The VI of Pentacles reversed has us feeling without. Aid is denied or we’re just not seeing the resources in front of us. We could be the ones holding onto the purse strings too tightly, or we could be the ones failing to ask for help when we need it.
These two cards feel like the person who tries a new thing for the first time, fails, and then says “I knew it wouldn’t work, this is impossible! I suck at everything!”
But our final card, the IV of Wands reversed, says there’s likely something else at play here.
When it’s upright, the IV of Wands is like a celebration that marks a beginning rather than an end—think weddings and graduation parties. And in it’s reversal, that blocked expression doesn’t actually kill that celebration and joy.
Instead it turns the energy inward rather than out.
Now the celebration, acknowledgement, joy, love, excitement is behind the scenes, maybe even just for you alone.
In Your Business: Have you acknowledged how far you’ve actually come lately?
I don’t know about you, but when I get anxious while I’m working, I start hyperventilating. My breath gets super shallow, all my muscles tense up and I stop blinking.
I’m pushing myself as hard as I possible can in those moments. I’m thinking of all of the ways I’ve failed until now and that I can’t afford to lose one more time. I’m thinking of the ways I’ve let myself down, the things I’ve said about believing in myself and my work and how they’re just adding to my own humiliation at this point.
I’m thinking:
I’d better come up with something fast (Ace of Wands reversed,)
That gets me out of this hole I’m perpetually in (VI of Pentacles reversed,)
Or else I’m fucked.
And given the spread we have before us this week, something is obviously missing from my thought process in those moments. I hurry the curry and surprise! It keeps getting spoiled.
I’m sure your version of this isn’t much more pleasant…
We’re really good at beating ourselves up. We’re good at depleting ourselves and telling ourselves all the “reasons” that nobody would value what we do.
But one of the things I find that I need to actively practice is being kind to myself. It’s acknowledging my wins, no matter how small they may seem at first.
And really, when I look at how far I’ve come since I started my business, and I look with kindness and acknowledgement, whether it measures up to what I think it “should” look like by now or not—
Like, HOLY SHIT. My life, my work, my understanding, my degree of expertise, my abilities, my skills, my self-knowledge is at a place that I WAS ONLY DREAMING of when I started this journey into entrepreneurship.
And even though it’s not the high-flying, lots-of-zeros-in-the-bank-account, last-minute-flight-to-italy thing that I wanted when I began, it’s still something that has so much substance and so much increasing potential that I am floored by past-self’s own gumption.
You built your business out of whatever you had to work with when you started. Your resources are never just the tangible ones like money or a storefront. And the fact that you are still here, reading this missive, building your business, is a glorious, shining, win.
You have created so much more for yourself than you give yourself credit for. But, that changes right now.
🩷✨🔥Congratulations, you’re doing it, and you will do even more still.🔥✨🩷
Until next week,
Zoha
