The Weekly Three: September 4th, 2023
A reminder that, for better or worse *you’re the fucking boss.*
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

The Big Idea: Still stuck? Time to work with what you’ve got.
Welp…
The Lovers.
Reversed.
Again.
Smack-dab in the middle of our spread for the second week in a row. What’s causing the stall-out to persist?…
The VII of Pentacles reversed says your garden’s coming up nothing but dirt. The crop doesn’t seem to be growing no matter how much effort you put in.
The suit of Pentacles is associated with the element of earth and all physical resources. This can look like a literal garden or the outdoors where we as humans find so much nourishment. It can also be physical health or financial resources.
After whatever hit you might have been feeling the effects of last week, are you settling into the new reality of your situation or are you ruminating and getting bitter? Only you know the answer to this one.
The Lovers reversed, (especially after the way it showed up for us last week,) is an indicator of a decision that must be made, but is somehow being dragged out to the friggin’ end of time. This card is also: distraction, temptation, a sign that you might be looking the wrong way.
The II of Wands in this spread feels like a lifeline. It’s the flashlight that helps you make your way out of that dark, dead-end cave.
But take note, that even though that flashlight can help light your way, you’re the one who has to point it in the right direction. The number 2 is all about choices, decisions, weighing your options and finding balance:
Step by step, turn by turn, you’re the one who must keep adjusting that little spotlight to see where you want to move next.
In Your Business: Did you think to look over there?…
When I first got this Tarot deck, I absolutely LAHVED the artwork, but I couldn’t connect with it as easily as I had with other decks.
I almost gave it away, honestly. I just wasn’t getting it. I finally stopped trying to force it and left it alone for, like, almost an entire year.
Then, about eight weeks ago, something shifted when I felt a tug to use it for The Weekly Three. Even then, it wasn’t a seamless SNAP! into “of course, oh duh, this deck makes perfect sense to me now.” But it felt way better. Pulling the cards started to feel like a conversation rather than forced small-talk.
Then about six more weeks after that, it finally clicked. I love this deck! I feel like we finally understand each other.
What made the difference? Nothing about the deck changed. The artwork, the box, the cardstock… it’s obviously all exactly the same.
The thing that changed was ME. I learned more, and that additional knowledge and skill helped me understand this deck a helluvalot better. It helped me change my perspective on how to approach using this particular Tarot deck.
Often, for us to move through a situation, there’s not much about the situation that needs to change: it’s us. Sometimes we have to change.
Our attitudes, our skill sets, our understanding, our plans.
And the way that change takes place isn’t always linear, immediate or easy to grasp.
This week, you’re being asked to make a change and consider new horizons. Does that mean dropping a particular project? Does it mean changing your approach? Does it mean starting something new that you’ve been holding off on but longing to do?
Your resources may be slim, your growth might feel stymied, but your creativity and passion know no bounds—and that puts you in a great position. The suit of Wands is associated with the element of fire. It’s creative, it’s entrepreneurial, it really gives a fuck and it doesn’t need to (nor does it really ever) move in a straight line.
It’s time to make a plan to go out and conquer. Get creative and get strategic. You may need to look at options you frankly haven’t considered before, and that’s not always a bad thing.
Come back down to earth and start making some decisions. Remember that you are the one forging this path, and you’ve got this.
Until next week,
Zoha
