The Weekly Three: October 16th, 2023
Enthusiasm and adventure, charity and power, rules and learning.
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

Before I get into the cards for this week, I want to acknowledge the heaviness of the world right now and the violence occurring in Palestine and Israel. I will be brief because I feel overwhelmed.
As comes up often in my work, I’m carrying the hope that we can think critically and with compassion about the dynamics of power and human rights without being swept away by misinformation or gaslighting.
Hamas’ actions are despicable, and they are not representative of all of Palestine or its people.
The Israeli government is enacting monstrosities upon the people of Palestine, and they do not represent all people of Jewish faith.
Neither antisemitism nor islamophobia have a place here: our common humanity is under siege and there is a very real apartheid in place and attempted genocide in progress in Gaza.
I believe that any kind of cruelty and brutal violence is condemnable, and that Palestine deserves freedom.
It is 100% possible to acknowledge and condemn the violence that is occurring, to take into account the historical context of the conflict and the reality of the current power dynamic, to care about the right of all people to live safely in their homes with their families without threat of death or displacement and to hold it all at the same time within the same body and brain.
If you are feeling the weight of the world right now, please find a way to contribute to those who need our help. And please take care of yourselves and one another.🤍
The Big Idea: Enthusiasm and adventure, charity and power, rules and learning.
The Page of Wands is an enthusiastic student. They’re ready to learn and more than ready to dive head first into their chosen subjects. There’s also a quality of “newness” to this card. Pages often come bearing news or a positive outlook on an endeavor just begun. Remember, the suit of Wands is associated with creativity, passion, fire and entrepreneurship.
The VI of Pentacles is often a relief to see, as it can represent help that arrives in the nick of time to scrape you off the floor and set you back on your feet. It can also represent charity or giving to causes you believe in. And? Power dynamics that look like you having to “get what you get and not get upset,” or someone else holding the purse strings.
The last card of our spread this week is once again a Major Arcana card. Keep in mind that Major Arcana cards are always a message to “pay attention—this counts.”
The Hierophant is always a weird card for me. The traditional interpretations range from spiritual guidance and community to standardized education to rules and conformity.
As someone who felt trapped in school, skeptical of organized spiritual guidance and fucked over by societal rules—this card is one that gives me anxiety.🥴
And-but-also: I know that there is a time and place for learning the rules and following them (if only to know the best ways to break them later…)
In Your Business: Mind the cosmic speed bump, but remember the roads are still clear.
There’s a fence on the exploration and creativity—does it feel like it’s holding you back or keeping you safe?
Either way, there’s still a positive outlook on whatever you may have set in motion recently, but it may not yet be time to take it and run with it the way you want to. You’re being slowed down on purpose and for a reason.
You might need a boost, either financially or in learning, in order to clear the runway for this project you have so much passion and enthusiasm for in this moment.
I can tell you that personally, this spread really hit the nail on the head. I have multiple projects that I’ve been wanting to get out to you that I simply haven’t been able to complete within the time I allotted myself.
New challenges in my physical energy and limits on my mental and emotional processing have made me have to “slow down or else.”
And being the person who made up the deadlines I had in the first place, I changed them.
I’m still moving forward, but in a way that allows me to take care of myself at the same time. I’m giving myself the space that’s needed for me to learn to walk before I can run.
The question this week is: what would it take for you to give yourself the space you need to get that boost and clear your runway for takeoff?
Until next week,
Zoha
