The Weekly Three: May 8th, 2023
Cut through deception with your own Sword of Truth.
A question before we begin:
Have you ever combined more than one intuitive tool when finding guidance or planning for goals? I’d love to hear which tools and how. Leave a comment or send me a message!
And PS (Pre-S?…) - I may or may not be (read: definitely am) combining forces with an incredibly talented friend to bring you a kick-ass intuitive combo meal. If you’re looking to level up your goals and the way you approach them, we’re making this for you! More soon! 💛
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.
The Big Idea: Seek the truth.
Whenever I see someone on a horse on a reversed card, I think about the concept of being “unseated” and any time I see a reversed card from the suit of Cups, I see whatever was inside that cup getting dumped.
The Knight of Cups, when upright, is a super-solid dude. I think of this figure as a person who is honest, sincere and emotionally mature. Things might not move at a blazing hot pace with them, but there’s trust and genuine connection being built.
Flip that upside down and you get deception, dishonesty—someone’s trying to pull the wool over your eyes for their own gain.
With the IV of Wands reversed, we get a celebration that’s muted. The all-out-super-party that’s represented by this card upright isn’t totally destroyed, but it’s smaller, quieter, more intimate.
You’re inviting only your most trusted and beloved to this affair. It’s a small win, perhaps seemingly insignificant to outsiders, on the way to a much bigger goal—but you know it’s a win nonetheless.
The King of Swords is the ultimate seeker and speaker of truth.
This card can represent thought leadership, someone who can masterfully guide others toward a new future. They have no problem cutting to the heart of the matter and they convey their ideas with clarity and integrity.
If I was reading for a specific person, I might say:
This spread looks like a situation where someone tries to go behind your back or sell you snake oil, but you’re able to avert disaster by ferreting out the truth or seeing through the lies. Maybe it’s something you might have fallen for before, but you’ve learned a thing or two by now.
You might have been expecting a big payoff or a win from this situation that went sour instead. But, the quiet celebration still comes in knowing you can deal with a liar or a fake without letting it ruffle your feathers or stop your progress.
Since this is a spread for us all, however…
In Your Business: Look at the whole situation before acting, and act based on the truth.
I hate saying it, I hate learning the truth of it, I hate experiencing it first hand and coming to the realization, but: there are people who will go out of their way to deceive you for their own gain. They’re ok with doing “whatever it takes” to get what they want, whether it’s money, status, love—you name it.
And beyond that, sometimes people will act this way without even examining whether it’s a bad thing or registering that it’s actively harming someone. (Glampreneurship and hustle culture with a side of racist patriarchy, anyone?…🥴)
The good news I think, is that we’ve all become a little more savvy to the ways this can work, especially in the context of business.
So, what’s going on in yours?
If there’s somewhere you can see the potential for dishonesty or a lack of integrity—whether from yourself or someone else—seek the real truth of the situation.
That might put a little bit of a damper on the riot of a win you were hoping for, but it might save you from the real shitshow of a situation you could have landed in instead.
Read the facts. Review the numbers. Do a gut check.
This is not a time to stick your head in the sand and hope for the best. Find what’s real and act on that. Let your integrity lead the way and you’ll have something to truly celebrate.
Until next week,
Zoha
