Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.
The Big Idea: A little bit up, a little bit down and a little bit confusing.
For better or worse, I’m a person who experiences the world through my emotions. How I feel about something plays a big role in whether or not I decide it’s for me.
My feelings will help me understand whether to stay in a relationship or not, whether to continue with a project or not, whether to join a collaboration or not. And different feelings will carry different weight in different contexts—which feelings I use as a barometer in a situation depends entirely on the situation itself.
But sometimes, my feelings get the better of me. I’m no longer the one observing them and logging them as useful information. Instead, they’re controlling me—dictating my next move and holding the strings to my suddenly Stromboli-traps-Pinocchio existence.
I feel out of control. I feel like this is too hard. I feel like I want to give up because I’m so fucking over it already.
And frankly, that might be how you’re feeling this week.
The Ace of Cups says a new emotional or intuitive situation shows up and it seems positive. This card can represent an open heart that’s ready to receive in a blossoming situation thats ready to pour into that space.
But with the card next to it, The VII of Wands reversed, it’s almost as if that newly opened flow has doused the flames on something else. You’re feeling like giving up—the fight doesn’t seem worth it, you ran out of steam or just finally gave in.
The Moon is a card that I forever associate with intuition and following your own flow. It’s the new information that makes its way to your consciousness without you knowing how exactly it got there, but you know you can trust it.
AND it can also represent the illusions that we see in the dark. That feeling that you’re not seeing something quite clearly, and you keep trying to blink or squint to see better? Is it a very squat ghost, or is it an over-large pile of laundry—we don’t know. Those are the illusions of The Moon.
When I see this card in a scenario that seems like it’s showing a lot of up and down, I know I need to find a way to double-check what I’m experiencing so I don’t get Stromboli’d…
In Your Business: Are you just fucking done? Or do you need a fucking break? Check the facts before calling it (and know that you’re the only one who can truly make that call.)
Sometimes we’re ready to rise to meet a challenge. Sometimes we can take changes in stride and adapt like champs.
Sometimes we’re really fucking tired and overwhelmed, and it’s not as simple as “just” changing tactics.
If you thought an opportunity was gonna be awesome, but instead it feels like a fight you can’t win, it’s totally ok for you to take a step back and reassess what’s going on.
If you feel like you can’t keep doing this, it’s ok to take a step back and reassess what’s going on.
If you feel like you’re not even really sure what “this” is, it’s ok to take a step back and reassess what’s going on.
Sometimes we think we need to say “it’s over,” when what we really need to communicate is “I need space.” And if you’ve reached the point where your emotions have got you in a chokehold, it can be hard not to feel so overwhelmed that you can’t tell the difference.
In a society where the quick-starts get all the glory, I’m going to tell you: it’s ok for you to slow down. It’s ok for you to literally slow down so much that you STOP. It’s ok for you to sit here for a minute and breathe before you decide what needs to happen next.
Progress, growth, success—none of it is linear, none of it is constant. Just because someone else’s pretty graph says otherwise doesn’t mean that their reality doesn’t look very, very different.
Have a seat. Check the statements. Reconnect with your inner knowing. Then, decide what to do.
Until next week,
Zoha
PS—if this week’s confusion is contributing to a bigger stagnation situation in reaching your goals, join me and Bridget for that Intuitive 2-for-1 special and lets find your way through together.
