The Weekly Three: July 31st, 2023
Your unfinished business holds the unconventional solution you need.
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.
The Big Idea: Revisiting unfinished business can give you the positive insight you need to do things your own way.
As someone who routinely forgets things and has to take their time processing things, the VI of Swords reversed often feels like a supportive friend. The suit of Swords is one that can feel fraught with strife and sorrow, but when those naturally anxious expressions get blocked with a reversal, it’s like a sigh of relief.
This card says “go back, I think you may have left something back there.”
I know sometimes a sign telling you to take a u-turn can feel like a defeat or at least an irritating block to you moving forward. But I think we want “forward” so much that we forget the lessons of “back,” and we keep repeating them until we’re all the way worn out
So just humor me: what’s back there?
The Page of Cups can represent the arrival of good news. This card is total surprise and delight. It’s the beginnings of a new romance, it’s the joy of your inner child, it’s the jubilant anticipation of the fun you’re looking forward to.
And sometimes when things look so lighthearted and sweet, we categorize them as frivolous. It’s not serious enough to have value or hold the potential to affect big change. What a fucking bummer cuz I think it’s actually the opposite?????
The Hierophant reversed is another card I love seeing, especially in the context of my business.
When The Hierophant shows up upright, all I can think about is the man. The rules and restrictions of societal norms that nobody can ever live up to without sacrificing some part of their own humanity.
Sometimes, The Hierophant upright can represent a spiritual leader or formalized education.
Either way, when The Hierophant comes up reversed, it’s asking you to follow your own rhythm. Forget convention and do your own thing. I like that.
In Your Business: The status quo isn’t always worth maintaining.
Is there something you left back there that might hold the key to what you’re trying to unlock right now? And have you been afraid to consider it because it doesn’t look like what “they” say is a valid option?
When you’re trying to achieve a goal that matters so much to you, it can be easy to try and hold onto it really tightly. Use the coldest, cut-and-driest strategies and tactics. “Take emotion out of it,” you think, “logic and data ONLY.”
I’m here to remind you today: hi, hello 🧡 you are human, it’s ok to feel. It’s ok to hold things loosely. It’s ok to move with the situation rather than trying to force-mold it into the thing you think it “should” be.
And it’s so very totally ok if that movement takes you into a space that doesn’t look the way you thought it was supposed to because someone else told you so.
Whatever you found back there in that unfinished business might seem like a frivolous nothing, but it might be the powerful something you need in order to make that right-for-you-and-nobody-else move you need.
Until next week,
Zoha
