The Weekly Three: January 1st, 2024
Let it go, let it grow or risk drowning in your woe. (Basically: don't let your pain drive and also the real new year starts in Spring, so 🤷🏽♀️.)
In The Cards: An opportunity for forward motion presents itself.
Well holy guacamole, it’s the year TWO THOUSAND AND TWENTY FOUR???????????? Let us orient ourselves, we are living in The Future.
This week sees an opportunity for you to hop in your flying car and actually get moving. Thank the Galaxy! But that motion comes with a caveat. Call the robo-maid, we might need a stiff one for this job. (And if you don’t drink, make sure there’s extra whipped cream.)🤖🍹🍦
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

The IX of Swords reversed—MY GLAHB, what a relief to see it—is an indication that the nightmare ends. We can wake up and see the sun is rising once more. The suit of Swords is a mental one. If you’ve been circling the drain on big scary thoughts, (and haven’t we all,) this week may see a break in the downward spiral.
A Major Arcana card comes smack dab in the middle of this spread, requesting our attention from both angles.
The Chariot says “onward!” It’s a card that represents the feeling of being in the driver’s seat, knowing your heading and having the means to get to your destination. This card is also representative of a moment of ASSESSMENT. Are you tired of assessing yet? Well, too fucking bad, because that’s the only way you can orient yourself in the right direction before you start driving.
Now for the raging-bender-inducing finale to this show: the X of Swords reversed. In this spread, it’s carrying the feeling of avoiding a necessary, albeit painful, ending. It’s that THING that happened that you can’t stop overanalyzing. It’s the crime scene you keep going back to. It’s the apology you’re waiting for that you know deep down you’ll never get.
When this card shows up in this kind of context, it’s asking you to FUCKING. LET. GO. so you can move on.
In Between: Facing the pain is hard but necessary.
Right now, appropriately for the season, your forward motion is dependent on your ability to close the books on painful endings. Even MORE appropriate when we remember that the astrological year doesn’t start until March when the Sun enters the cardinal sign Aries.
Contrary to what the general deal is around this time of year, in Nature Time, we’re at the end of things right now. We’re at the part where things are still hibernating, decaying, dying so that new things can be born later.
It’s Rebirth Season, bitches. And burning all the way down so you can rise from the ashes? It fucking hurts.
We talk about growing pains, oh, tee-hee growing pains, as if the term doesn’t describe the process of your bones literally elongating themselves inside your body while you are alive and conscious to feel it happening.
You are growing, and it hurts.
, who pens , wrote this glorious post for the Winter Solstice that beautifully speaks to the growing pains and real-life timeline of rebirth. (Have a read, whydoncha? Subscribe for more, whynot? 💛)This might suck. It might feel really hard. But also, you deserve to use your brain-space for something better than thinking about the pain and then thinking about ways to avoid thinking about the pain.
Let. The thing. Die. And leave it. In. The ground.
Let it be the fertilizer that nourishes new growth instead of the sinkhole that drags you down.
In Your Business: Sometimes moving forward means looking back.
There are a lot of Swords in this spread, and that tells me this is going to be a very cerebral week. And given that we are coming off of a holiday weekend, most likely into a short week or more vacation to recover from vacation, that feels right.
Last week may have brought a major epiphany. This week, you can put that epiphany to use in a new perspective on an old wound.
Mercury is stationing direct tonight (kljhiwuyehklaj;!!!) in the truth-seeking fire sign of Sagittarius, and the thoughts that felt super foggy and unclear can finally start snapping into focus.
Use that clarity to find your truth:
What’s been feeling like pain in your business during this past year? Where is that wound coming from? And is keeping it open really serving you that well?
Or might it be time to sterilize it, stitch it up and let it heal so you can stop being impaired and distracted by the pain and allow for a clear head and a new way forward?
I think it’s that second thing.
Whether it’s a person, place, thing or idea, there might be something you’ve been avoiding addressing. A situation or understanding that’s holding you back and gnawing you up like a damn spare rib. It’s time for you to deal with it instead of trying to outrun it.
And when I say “deal with” I don’t necessarily mean “directly interact with in some way.” Sometimes dealing with things means accepting that they hurt like a mofo and you’ll never get the closure you want. Sometimes the only payoff from pain is that we learn something new about ourselves that helps us later.
Take the lesson, but bury what’s done instead of letting the corpse drive you both right off a cliff. Corpses can’t see where they’re going. Plus, it’s hard to get rolling with all that dead weight.
Happy Actual-End-of-the-Year 💁🏽♀️
Until next week,
Zoha
