The Weekly Three: December 12th, 2023
Taking stock of restructured surroundings means pausing long enough to understand them before forging ahead at full speed.
This week’s spread is a day “late” on purpose: I didn’t want to add noise to the day of the global strike in solidarity with Palestine.
It is a supreme privilege to be able to not work, spend, sell, email, leave the house or otherwise participate in the machinations of a society that feels like it simply sweeps away the option to do anything other than acknowledge, accept, obey and feed it.
If you weren’t able to safely participate in yesterday’s strike, but still give a fuck about human rights, I see you. It can create so much internal friction to not be able to stand up for your beliefs in the ways you want to because of the reality of your resources or circumstances and how they overlap with the demands of life today.
Jonathan Louis Dent, A brilliant astrologer, numerologist and spiritual thought leader that I follow and respect, recently shared:
“It’s more important than ever to recognize that there are innumerable ways to resist the oppressor. Some of us resist by speaking out, some by boycotting, some by calling reps, some by educating ourselves and others, some by praying in isolation, some by finding pockets of joy in the mundane and holding Palestine in our hearts simultaneously. Try not to spend much time comparing/shaming yourself for how you’re resisting: we need all forms right now.”
If you were able to participate: Keep showing up in the ways that you can.
If you weren’t: Keep showing up in the ways that you can.

In The Cards: The clog(s) in the drain from last week identifies itself.
Another week of blocked energy and an entirely reversed spread. But, blocked energy isn’t always a bad thing.
For me, the most important questions with reversals is always: What exactly is being blocked?
With a deck made up of 78 cards, ready to deliver messages of meaning phrased in so many different ways, a reversed card isn’t automatically something to worry about. In fact, it can often mean relief.
And this week, the cards signal at least some release on the personal pressure gauge. (THANK FUCK. WE ARE TIRED.)
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

The X of Wands reversed communicates a burden being lifted—finally. Especially as it pertains to creative endeavors, entrepreneurship and things that ignite our passion and drive. If there’s something that you feel like you’ve been trying to drag across the finish line, this could be the moment you can finally set it it down or get some help to significantly lighten the load.
The V of Pentacles reversed signals yet another helping hand on the way. (Phew!) While this card can indicate a hit to your physical resources when it’s upright—whether those are financial, physical health or earth-bound resources—a reversal here thankfully blocks that wonky energy. Instead, help arrives just in the nick of time. Hope begins to rebloom and a viable “way out” presents itself.
Queens across Tarot represent the nurturing aspects of the elements and concepts they rule. They’re intuitive and encouraging and often speak to the qualities needed to allow the concept of their suit to flourish.
The Queen of Wands upright is courageous and knows how to stoke her own fire as well as others’. But reversed, as she is here, she steps out of her power and into the cold illusion of controlling all. Her courage burns out as she becomes timid and nervous.
In Between: Something ends, begins or resets. Something else takes a positive turn. But your reality hasn’t caught up with the changes yet.
I find it extremely interesting that even though this spread is largely sending the message that there’s relief and change available, there’s a resistance to simply go with the flow of that shift as well. And sometimes, just as it is with reversals, resistance isn’t always a bad thing.
Resistance can be a signal that something other than immediate doing is necessary. Resistance can be a signal that further thought might benefit us before we act.
Resistance can also be a signal that a different action is required of you.
There’s a New Moon in Sagittarius today, allowing you to set new intentions around seeking truth and meaning, and renewing hope.
Mercury also goes retrograde tomorrow, asking us to consider all the “re-” words, especially around our thoughts and communication. Some words that feel particularly appropriate for this moment:
Reconsider.
Reassess.
Revise.
Restructure.
Rethink.
Readjust.
Reassemble.
Rekindle.
In Your Business: A much needed pause creates the spaciousness required for reassessment.
This is a time of processing change, old closures and new paths. Before you run full speed ahead into the next thing, take a minute to reorient (!) yourself.
When there’s a shift like the one being communicated with these cards, the concept of “taking stock” feels most helpful to me. What was that grody clog in the drain actually made of? What does clearing the passage mean for your business? How do you need to move forward in order to avoid clogging the drain the same way again?
Look around you. Reacquaint (!) yourself with your surroundings. It looks like they may be very different from what they seemed before. How do you need to proceed with this new information?
Until next week,
Zoha
