Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.
The Big Idea: Ready, set, GO!
Frankly, I don’t think it matters whether you are “ready” or “set” based on what I’m looking at in these cards, but it’s definitely time to go.
I’m trying something different today and using defined positions for each card. This week, we’re looking at:
Where To Focus
Where To Let Go
How To Approach The Work
The VIII of Swords reversed says the blindfold comes off and you break free. You may have some sort of mental clarity or a breakthrough that allows you to see 🎶cleeeearly now the rain is goooonnnneee—you can see alllll obstacles in your waaayyyyy.🎵
You may have been feeling a bit of a pinch because of foggy thinking or an inability to see your way out. There’s something happening this week asking you to pay attention to those moments of clarity where you realize exactly why you’ve been so tied up and—more importantly—how to get out and get going.
The II of Wands reversed reads to me as “please fucking stop planning already🙏🏽”
Whatever that creative spark was that led you to start planning your journey as you ready yourself to set out from the harbor is getting restless. It’s time to stop planning and start doing.
The IV of Cups reversed is almost redundant after the last two cards but OH MY GAHD, GO!
You can finally see the opportunity in front of you for what it is, and it might be an absolutely GORGEOUS one. This is one of those things you feel, by the way, rather than a thing you think. There’s no other way to find out except to act on it.
In Your Business: Give your plan a thorough once-over based on your breakout-breakthrough, and then start acting on it.
Looking at these cards, your immediate response might have been to groan at seeing a spread completely full of reversals.
But I stand by my opinion on reversals: sometimes, blocking the natural expression of a card can be a really good thing.
There’s a pattern I like using in some of my defined spreads that sets one card as “what I think I need” and the next card as “what I really need.” I know that sometimes I think I know, but I don’t actually.
Or that my “knowing” is really fear, anxiety, doubt, lack of clarity or even a flat out misunderstanding.
This isn’t about second-guessing or gaslighting myself into doing something different than what’s actually right for me and my business. It’s more about finding the truth of what I really need to act on in order to achieve the goals and build the vision I’ve created for myself.
We can get stuck in things that seem like they’re helping us when really they’re just sludge slowing us down. We give them names that sound productive so that it seems like we’re doing something, but really—we’re just sitting.
Words like: learning, planning, outlining, etc. They’re not bad words, right? These are important aspects of running and building a successful business.
The trick is in knowing—and trusting—when you’ve done enough of those things.
I don’t advocate for action without understanding (at least most of) the who-what-where-when-why-how of your actions. I don’t think it’s smart. I don’t think it’s brave. I don’t think it’s “feeling the fear and doing it anyway.”
I think it’s reckless.
I think the bullshit of glampreneurship trained us to be excited at the prospect of getting gold stars when we just get up and start doing doing doing, but I think action without clarity is often where we end up creating harm for ourselves, our clients, our audiences, our team members.
But.
When you’ve done your due diligence, when you have the expertise, when you’re fiddling with the nitty gritty details over and over—it’s time to start putting plans into action and taking the opportunities that come your way.
In this moment when Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are already retrograde and we’re hanging out in the shadow before Mercury joins them, “go” doesn’t necessarily mean “sprint, race, push.”
It just means “begin.”
Your actions may not be huge, flashy or fast, but they need to happen. It’s time to go.
Until next week,
Zoha
