The Weekly Three 1/22/24: When opportunity knocks.
How do you open the door to a portal when your mountain of dirty laundry is piled in front of it?
The super-fast-super-go energy from last week is still hanging around, but there’s a change in how we’re approaching it. Passion and creativity butt up against fear, and suddenly there’s a clear something that needs to be untangled in order for your generative spark to be (safely) unleashed. There’s a difference between a raging fire and one that keeps you alive, after all.
Welcome to The Weekly Three! Each Monday, I share a three-card Tarot spread to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

In The Cards: 1.21 GIGAWATTS?!
The element of Fire is in BIG focus this week. Moving through our physical bodies toward our commitment to a worthy goal and ideas of adaptable legacy from last week may have helped solidify things into clear creative focus. But something’s causing our hold on this fiery drive to feel unwieldy…
The VIII of Wands is back again this week, carrying forward that decisive burst of energy that started last week. Where is it taking you now? As arrows fly, their exact direction is constantly changing as they move through space. So, too, do we as we continuously act and adjust, act and adjust in order to finally hit our target.
The Queen of Wands brings inspiration, curiosity and creative poise. Queens are often seen as “nurturers” of the Tarot suits, (gender roles much?) but I see them as the drivers. They are the portals through which the energy of the suit is truly ushered into existence, requiring both the structure of the portal itself and the depth of transformation for the energy to go from “vague potential” to “tangible reality.”
With the suit of Wands, we’re dealing with things like creativity, entrepreneurship, passionate love. Wherever that’s hitting for you is where you’ve got an opportunity to open that Queen’s portal and the ability to bring something to life with balanced care and courage.
Here’s where that fiery energy gets a little soggy: the Ace of Cups reversed is an indicator of blocked emotions. Instead of the freely flowing and hopeful energy of this card when it’s upright, we meet resistance and fear.
In Between: What the hell is a gigawatt??
Have you ever had trouble doing something that you’ve tackled really easily at another time? (This is mostly rhetorical, and if you answer “not really,” you’re lying to me AND yourself, so there’s that out of the way.)
Regardless of how many times I’ve come up against this myself, I always find my initial frustration taking the form of: WHY CAN’T I JUST DO THIS? The underlying implication of that question, of course, is that something is wrong with me or I have somehow become broken.
I’ve also looked back on things that I’ve done before and thought “I don’t know how I did it…” which feels like the flipside of this particular coin, but brings me to a similar understanding: I am somehow less at this moment because I can’t fathom doing the thing again.
The funny thing about the idea of opportunity presenting itself, the way it seems to be doing with the VIII and Queen of Wands above, is that you have to be in the position to avail yourself of that opportunity in order for it to result in what you hope for.
We are whole humans who don’t exist on a simple two-dimensional spectrum. We operate in multiple dimensions and the parts that make up the integrated whole of that operation are at different levels in different ways at different times. This is something that can change daily, sometimes hourly or even minute to minute depending on where and how we’re operating.
There is a certain balance required for us to be able to act quickly and easily on an opportunity. It’s when that balance is off that you’ll find yourself in “why can’t I just…” And instead of pushing oneself harder, longer, more brutally with “no excuses,” I find that backing off and recalibrating that balance is what’s actually necessary.
Personally, what the fuck do I care about an “opportunity” if I’m too physically, mentally, emotionally exhausted to even be nice to myself for a second? Who am I to attempt time travel before I get Doc to explain gigawatts?…
In Your Business: First tend, then triumph.
What’s the fear you’re butting up against? What is the worried what if that’s dousing your fire?
Take a moment for kind recalibration and find your balance. If this moment of opportunity is truly for you, it’ll wait for you to grab it or come back around in another form. If it’s not, let it go with the knowledge that what is will find you.
Either way, the first order of business must be understanding, soothing and working with your fears. They may not ever leave you completely, but they can be partnered with. After all, our fears usually exist to help keep us safe. Whatever feels like it’s holding you back is likely acting out of care for your best interest.
What do you need to tend to before you can actually use your Flux Capacitor?
Until next week,
Zoha
