I won’t bury the lede: The Ownership Method is going away.
For a long, long time, I’ve been feeling the friction of working under a name that fits for a time and then just doesn’t. I started my business under the name Multidoer, which fit my dedication to creative humans who are multifaceted, multiskilled, multipassionate action takers.
As I learned more about helping these humans, how they interacted with their businesses and their clients, what they really needed in order to succeed, my business became The Ownership Method.
For the longest time I thought I had to have a "real business name" in order to be legit. But the names I chose, even though they fit my work, made me chafe.
See, I started out with a business name in order to hide behind it. I thought no one would hire me, or even give me a chance, with a name that looked and sounded like mine. Foreign. Brown. Terr0rist. Does she even speak english?
But I fucking LOVE my name. And those “real business names” never protected me in the first place. My first ever client, on our first coaching call, asked me where I was from, was I Muslim, what about my husband, how does it work if he’s not…
I remember wondering what any of that information had to do with our coaching work. The truth is: it had nothing to do with that work, while simultaneously having everything to do with my real work.
I don't want to hide anymore. In fact I want to create more connection through my work. I want to be allowed to change and grow without having to change my business name every few years because the core and lens of my thoughts has evolved. So while The Ownership Method is going away, all the data, divination and dismantling is going strong under my own name:
In fact, it actually feels like it’s going stronger. In addition to changing my business name to reflect where and who the thoughts, ideas and teaching you see actually come from, I’m also changing the name of this publication to reflect the foundation of those thoughts, ideas and teachings.
You can consider yourself officially subscribed to:
I thought long and hard about this name, and aside from the VERY obvious fact that much of my writing about business comes through the lens of Tarot and Astrology, I also realized: what are we doing here if not having a conversation about redefining the arcana of success? Moving the so-called “secrets” we’ve been sold into the light, pulling them apart and remaking them for a new world? Discovering our own arcana as we make our own changes?
So from now on, you’ll be receiving newsletters and posts from Zoha Abbas at The Arcana Shift.
I've had a lot of support in creating and doing my best work, but at the end of the day, it's just ME over here. I'm the one doing the writing, the coaching, the teaching, the speaking, the Tarot reading, the whatever-else-ing. And I want to do it all without the extra wall between you and me.
I’m still a little afraid, but I am also ME. I love the name that is mine. I love my family and the humans who gave me that name. I have pride in the ancestors that lived so that I could too.
So if you want to work with me, read my writing, get a Tarot reading or collaborate, you can find everything you need at:

Please (and thank you!) extend me some of your patience as I make these changes across all the platforms and places, but mostly:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being with me on this extremely weird ride. More soon!💛

I LOVE this, Zoha! (Particularly the reclaiming of your name, and this: “I also realized: what are we doing here if not having a conversation about redefining the arcana of success?”)
