The Full Moon is arriving today in Cancer, and while I see many mentions of this water sign's homemaking and nurturing energies, I don't see much about Cancer's ability to protect and fight back.
Cancer loves, Cancer holds, Cancer nurtures.
Cancer will also snap your arm right off if you threaten what they love.

With my beloved city in flames for days on end, entire communities being displaced and losing their homes, I am welcoming Cancer's waves of protective enveloping. I am grateful for the hard outer shell that keeps danger at bay and the claw that pinches threats to pieces.
And that is the energy with which I pull this Weekly One, a question about Full Moon fruition: how do YOU protect what you are building with loving, intentional hands? How do you defend it, nurture it, encourage it to grow even in the face of hardship and threat?
When I look at this card, I see a wise ruler, clear-headed and calm. I see a cloak, not only of fabric, but of night sky. It’s the stillness and protection of rest and low-light. I see a sword, unsheathed and ready for use, but also held in a position that suggests it will not be employed unless the wielder is provoked.
I see a butterfly, which only comes into existence after being cocooned and protected and held through change after change. I see twin moons that mirror each other like book ends on the countless forever-cycles of life.
Nurturing doesn’t only happen in softness and cushioning. It happens in sharp corners and impossible angles. Defense isn’t always fighting and conflict. It can look like an embrace, it can feel like a blanket. Water doesn’t have to drown. It can nourish and support.
The way this Cancer Full Moon plays out in your life, the way it is right now, isn’t something I can prescribe. It’s available energy that you get to direct as you see fit. You know what exists in that tender interior at the heart of your motivations and intentions. You mold the shapes of your shell and your pincers. You decide where and when to retreat into the sand and when to raise your weapon and take a stand.
So I’ll ask you again: how do you protect what you’re building?
Hit reply and let me know what comes to mind.
Until next week,
Zoha
