What happens in the “messy middle” almost never makes its way to the conversations we have on social media or at networking events, except to make a brief appearance as an “I used to do (insert messy middle action), but NOW…”
Which, frankly, feels like the most dishonest and careless way to interact with, acknowledge, think about, accept, the part of this journey that makes the biggest fucking difference to the outcome. This is not say that I think we should be glorifying the struggle, but what if the middle could be messy without it being something to be ashamed of?
Welcome to The Weekly One! Each week, I pull a Tarot card to help you focus your intuitive energy in real life, and take action with intention inside your business.
I pull these cards with the collective energy of my community in mind, but if you want a custom spread of your very own, you can get it right here.

In The Card: Sticking up for your spark.
Sevens reveal the in-between. They bring a moment of reassessment, the question “what now?” There’s a feeling of wayfinding, double-checking directions, reaffirming past decisions that have allowed us to progress from the beginning to this messy middle where everything’s in motion and needs to keep moving. It’s uncomfortable, sure - but growth is uncomfortable.
The VII of Wands arrives this week to ask us: what’s so worth this fight we’re fighting? We can’t fight for all the things all the time, but the really important things are worth the pushback. What is that thing for you right now?
The suit of Wands deals with our core motivations and deepest passions. It’s the creativity and drive that envelopes us as we hatch another awesome idea, the heat and magnetism of a gorgeous love affair, the entrepreneurial problem-solving that allows us to build something of value that no one has ever seen built quite like this.
This card in particular has a lot of action in it. There’s a need for defense and strategy. There’s also an energy of loneliness or on-your-own-ness here: if there’s something you need to defend, you need to find a way to trust yourself and defend it. You might be the only one who thinks it’s worth the fuss, (but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth the fuss.)
In Between: What’s actually worth it?
Today brings the third quarter Moon and the opportunity to fully release, accept or integrate whatever we need to.
Mercury is stationing direct this Wednesday, and perhaps the revisions and reassessments that have been brewing in your psyche for the last few weeks finally fall into a pattern that provides some clarity.
What’s the big idea, and what’s the fluff that fell away?
And what is all the messy action you’ve taken to get to this realization?
In Your Business: Stay true to what matters.
Sometimes we have to fight for the thing to be made. Sometimes we have to make the thing and fight for it at the same time. Sometimes it feels like we’re the only ones who actually care about the thing. It’s a lot. It’s tiring.
But sometimes, it’s worth it.
This week, accept your messy middle for what it is: the primordial soup from which a universe is being birthed. Defend your mess. Show it some respect.
Just because something isn’t instantly productive or monetizable doesn’t mean it’s not worth your time, energy and protection.
Until next week,
Zoha
